After finishing his high school studies, Willis entered Moi University for a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Science.
Willis’s dad had wanted him to seek IT, but Willis had a love for Media. It forced him to lie to his dad that he was studying IT, but he chose the Media choice in an independent sense. His dad realized about Willis’ course during the graduation commemoration that took place in Eldoret in the year 2010.

“When I was 24, and I got picked by Citizen Television straight out of campus – that was a very crucial point in my life. Many did not believe that one can get contracted at a prominent organization without having ‘key’ connections. The job came at a time when other local Television stations had turned me down – they said I did not have the best type of voice for broadcast,” he said.
He currently hosts citizen television’s morning show on weekdays and is the operator of 10 Over ten entertainment program which airs every Friday on citizen Television from 10:00 pm. Moreover, he hosts the mid-morning program on Hot 96 radio station.
